Every year on the first weekend of August there is a 100 mile long garage sale along Iowa Highway 141 or if you happen to be from Missouri that would be 141 highway. We picked up Pat at 8:00 and headed south stopping first at Bagley then venturing west to Bayard. We then returned east till we arrived at Woodward where we once again backtracked west. We stopped at every place along the way that looked interesting. If we could tell it was mostly clothes we didn't bother to stop. We had lunch in Jamaica at Tojo's. Oh yes, and while we are stopped at a sale just west of Perry who do we see but Jason and Laura! They came to Jamaica and joined us for lunch. That was a pleasant surprise. We shared stories of our finds.
Here are some pictures of the day: At the intersection of Highway 4 and 141 is a cemetery and a parking lot. It isn't often you can say you went to a garage sale at the cemetery.
That little bump on the grassy knoll is a tombstone.
This is going into my sign collection. Would you like to live on Wiggle street in Jamaica Iowa?
Jason is showing us the watering can they found. It looked to be in very good condition. It was a great day of bargain hunting and a good time with good friends.
