We are trying to be a bit more involved in the park this year. I went to the pool hall on Friday to get started with the ladies but there were only three of us there. I will try again next week. Butch played bridge yesterday afternoon and euchre last night. There are some kinds of activities taking place most anytime that we could participate in if we are so inclined. Posted by Hello

When Butch and I went to Mexico we noted that the begging was still taking place despite the new bridge which makes it more difficult. Instead of giving them money Butch held his hat over the side for them to put something into it. They laughed like crazy! Don't ya love it? Posted by Hello

Butch and I played shuffleboard this morning. We drew for partners so we were not on the same team. We had not played since last year. We enjoyed it Posted by Hello

This fella is 85 and going strong. This was from the jam session in the park yesterday. Posted by Hello
Went to Me-hee-ko this morning. Butch got a haircut. Not much has changed down there at least not to the casual observer. It is a much different place there in February at the height of the season...you can't even walk then! We went to Garcia's above the Canada Store for nachos. I had forgotten how good they were but I certainly remember now.

Magnolia RV Park News
I started a new blog just for the Magnolia RV Park. Keeping the two blogs separate seemed like a good idea at the time. We will see if it continues to be. Posted by Hello

We really do feel bad for those folks and we are torn about whether to give up this prime real estate for them and find a different spot for ourselves or hang on to it with the idea that it seemed to be fate the way it worked out. Hmmmm.... Posted by Hello
We are fairly settled in. I got my summer haircut yesterday when it was a hot and humid 90 degrees. During the night a cold front went through and it is now in the 50's and not expected to be above the 60's for the rest of the week. Frostbite is not a danger however. Not many people have arrived yet but I do look for that to change this week. We have lucked out with a very good spot for our RV this year. We were too big for the spot assigned to us so they suggested this one and we quickly said yes. The people who had this lot last year and several previous years had told the managers that they were not sure they were coming back this year and did not reserve the spot. And then on their way home they were involved in a bad accident and are now recuperating in a nursing home. They decided the other day that they planned to return in the fall of 2005 so called to reserve their spot for that time. Due to a fluke we had already done that! We had paid a deposit last Spring which was forgotten when I paid our rent this fall and when I remembered it and went to the office to get it staightened out they said they couldn't refund our money so I suggested we reserve for the fall of 2005 and perhaps I could remember it next year! :-/ Posted by Hello
