Exciting Life?

Brother-in-law Leo thinks I am a bit off plumb what with my amusement about Harbor Freight. It may have been a location joke-you had to be there. But those of us who were, were amused. Later my friend Kay Stilson said to my friend Peggy Gordon, " Well I see you were woman number one and I was woman number two". While all this was going on inside- we were working on bracelets- the guys were outside drinking too many Margaritas. Hmmm...left unsupervised and that is never a good idea.
We will know better next time.
This morning I had several people stop by to tell me that there was a Black-bellied whistling duck in the pool. So I did get a few pictures while still in my pajamas.
I think this is the best of the pictures taken. They are trying to run it off as it is making unsanitary deposits. So Crazy Larry is up there with a pool noodle smacking the water trying to get it to fly off. No luck yet.
And Leo thinks I am too easily amused...Pshawwww!! wink, wink.

Harbor Freight

Last night three women were having a discussion about their husbands addiction to Harbor Freight. Fortunately my husband isn't one of them. I know there are at least two guys in this park who go every Thursday-rain or shine. Harbor Freight used to give out free mini flashlights. Now it takes a $19.99 purchase. Woman number one says I have those little flashlights all over my house. Woman number two says, "Open that drawer right there. It is full of them." Woman number one says, " We have 260,000 of them." Woman number two says, "You beat me by one."  For some reason this really tickled my funny bone. We laughed till the tears rolled.

Road trip and more

Butch and I went to Harlingen yesterday to visit with Marlene and Bernard. We were treated to lunch, played some cribbage and had a piece of Marlene's famous lemon meringue pie.
Then we returned to Magnolia Park and after a brief respite were treated to supper by Donn and Peggy Gordon. Wonderful way to spend a Sunday.

This morning Butch has hopes that he will get to play shuffleboard as he is going to the RGV Senior Olympics in that event and feels he needs the practice. He will also be going to the Olympics in golf. He is so multi-talented!

It has warmed up and we did get some rain which was sorely needed. My laundry is very much needing done. That is probably true for many people in the park. When the sun comes out we will see laundry everywhere!!

Celebrate their 60th

Marlene and Bernard Kelley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Much too young to be that old!!!
