We also went to the Precious Moments Chapel and surrounding area. It is a beautiful and well kept place. We plan to take a closer look if we have time while we are here. Posted by Hello
Then we stopped at the Civil War Museum. Carthage certainly cultivates its rich history. Posted by Hello
After that we took a driving tour around Carthage looking over victorian houses. We also stopped at the Kendrick house which was the only house left standing in Carthage after a civil war battle. Posted by Hello
Yesterday with new friends Harold and Elaine Lindeman we went on a sightseeing tour stopping first at the George Washington Carver Birthsite. We were either unaware or had forgotten that he had Iowa connections having attended Simpson College and Iowa State. Posted by Hello
