Our Boy Gary

Okay, This mom has to brag on her boy.
Our son Gary sent this message along with the picture of his medals.
From Gary:
"It's been a long, long time since I've won much during racquetball tournaments. I used to play every single weekday and work fairly hard on my game. Since I am not working I've limited myself to only going in Tuesdays and Thursdays and I've not been stretching or working out as much as usual. My latest doubles partner talked me into signing up for a 1 day tournament at my club this past Saturday on my birthday. I guess I am not washed up yet. I played 7 matches from 7:30am to nearly midnight. We lost 1 doubles match by 1 point to put us in the consolation (losers) bracket but we won the rest and I won all my singles matches. I am a tired and sore 46 year old today but have a couple medallions to show off."

The Road More Traveled

The wagon rides are usually done on the less traveled roads
so this was an unusual sight. Snow Mountain is in the background.

Jason's Walking Stick

Jason took several walking sticks back to Iowa.
This stick is one he designed. It is two bears, mom and babe
on the top, branches and pine leaves and cones on the shaft and a whistle, also carved.
