Yesterday's Mexico Excursion

I am happy to report that all the unnecessary folderol of last year at the border has disappeared. It looks pretty much back to normal. Of course, it will never be quite like it was as there have been too many bridges burnt between the two countries. It is nice to see at least a little sanity has returned.
Our new neighbors, Candy and Rick moved in behind our RV. They are us a little more than ten years ago. They are newly retired and full-timers. So being new to the area as well we are happy to show them around. We had a great time in Progreso. We went clear down to Hector's to pick up a few items. I needed some Abreva (cold sore medication) and it is an over the counter med in the US and costs in the neighborhood of $18 for a tiny little tube. Hector said he had a real bargain on it, 6 boxes for $7. I snapped it right up and Candy and I shared it. It always pays to ask Hector if there is a drugstore item you are in need of.
We had lunch at Jessica's and it was one of the best meals I have ever had there. I had fish and a salad while Butch had chicken fajitas. Love it when a meal remains memorable and that one does for sure.
Here are some pictures Candy took on our excursion.
